The fall season’s changes brings beauty and has brought a fresh wave of energy to Chapter 14. Our recent Fall Forum in Annapolis was a great success — not just because of the strong attendance, but because of the collaboration, camaraderie, and genuine enthusiasm that filled the hotel. The conversations were thoughtful, the connections meaningful, and the sense of community stronger than ever. And, of course, our Annual Crab Feast once again reminded us why this chapter feels like family. Thank you to everyone who made both events possible.

This season also marked an exciting milestone for our Region. Region 4, through Chapter 14, officially submitted a proposal to host the 2030 IRWA International Education Conference. It’s a tremendous opportunity to highlight the depth of talent and leadership across our chapters. While the proposal process is now complete and we await the committee’s decision, I’m proud of the support for this effort — it truly reflected the best of the Chapter and Region.

Another highlight of this season is the relaunch of The Potomac Pipeline! This newsletter has long been a part of Chapter 14’s identity, connecting members and celebrating our shared accomplishments. I want to give a special thank-you to April Hall, who has stepped forward as our editor and played a key role in bringing this edition to life. April’s initiative and creativity are helping us breathe new life into this publication.

As we move forward, I encourage you to stay involved and stay connected. The best way to do that is by participating in our Executive Committee or General Membership meetings — where your input, ideas, and perspective help shape the direction of our chapter. Whether you want to assist with events, education, communications, or membership, there’s a place for you at the table.

Let’s carry this momentum into the rest of the year and continue building a chapter defined by engagement, excellence, and connection. Thank you for being an essential part of Chapter 14.
